Trail Torque Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 30, 2026
Trail Torque ("the game") is developed and published by TWEAKFAILS LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company ("TWEAKFAILS", "we", "us"). It is available on Google Play for Android and on the Apple App Store (including TestFlight beta builds) for iPhone. This policy explains what information the game and its third-party partners (Google and Apple) collect, and the choices you have. It applies to both the Android and iOS versions.
Who we are
Trail Torque is owned, developed and published by TWEAKFAILS. TWEAKFAILS is the operator of the game and the controller responsible for any personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at support@tweakfails.com.
Information we collect
We don't run our own servers, we don't require an account, and we don't ask for your name, email, contacts, photos or location. Your game progress (best distances, coins, vehicles, drivers, upgrades, unlocked maps, purchase unlocks and settings) is stored only on your device. There is no cloud save, and the game has no analytics or crash-reporting tools of its own. Any data described below is collected by Google or Apple under their own policies.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK) on both Android and iOS: a banner on the map-select screen only (never while driving), an occasional full-screen ad between races (at most every third race), and optional rewarded ads you choose to watch for bonus coins or to double a run's coins. To serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud, AdMob's SDK may collect and process:
- your device's advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID, or Apple IDFA only if you allow tracking on iOS)
- IP address and approximate location derived from it
- device and app information (model, OS version, language, app version)
- ad interaction data (impressions, clicks) and diagnostic or crash information about the ads
Google may use this data to show personalized ads where you have consented and the law allows it. Where required, we ask for your consent through Google's User Messaging Platform before personalized ads are shown. Ad tracking on iPhone (App Tracking Transparency)
On iOS, after the consent step above, Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt asks whether the game may use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA). The prompt says: "This lets us show you more relevant ads. Trail Torque stays free either way." The IDFA is only used if you tap Allow. If you choose Ask App Not to Track, the game still works exactly the same and Google shows non-personalized (contextual) ads without the IDFA. Ad results may also be measured with Apple's SKAdNetwork, which reports ad conversions to advertisers in an aggregated, privacy-preserving way without identifying you.
In-app purchases (Google Play Billing and Apple App Store)
Optional purchases (such as coin packs, flip-reset packs, starter and combo packs, vehicles, drivers, map unlocks, paint jobs and Remove Ads) are processed by Google Play on Android and by Apple (StoreKit) on iOS. Google or Apple handles the payment, and we never see or receive your card or payment details. The game only receives a purchase or transaction confirmation from the store so it can unlock what you bought, and it can ask the store to restore your permanent purchases (Remove Ads is restored automatically on Android when you reinstall, and on iOS you can tap Restore Purchases in the shop). Buying Remove Ads, or any single purchase over $4.99, turns off banner and between-race ads; rewarded ads stay optional and only play when you choose to watch one.
TestFlight beta testing
If you test Trail Torque through Apple's TestFlight, Apple shares information with us as described in Apple's TestFlight terms, such as crash reports, feedback and screenshots you choose to send, device and OS information, and the email or name you were invited with. We use this only to fix bugs and improve the game. TestFlight builds show Google test ads.
App store diagnostics
Google Play and Apple may share anonymous crash and performance reports with us (for example, if you opt in to sharing analytics with app developers on iPhone). These reports don't identify you, and we use them only to fix problems.
Device features
The game uses vibration (haptics) for feedback and plays sounds; it does not use the microphone, camera, contacts or precise location. Vibration and sound can be turned off in Settings.
Your choices
- Ad tracking on iPhone: change your answer at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking (or Settings > Trail Torque).
- Advertising ID: on Android, reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings > Privacy > Ads (or Settings > Google > Ads). On iPhone you can also turn off Personalized Ads from Apple in Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising.
- Ad consent: where a consent choice applies to you, an AD PRIVACY CHOICES button appears in the game's Settings screen so you can reopen the consent form and change your choice.
- Fewer ads: buy Remove Ads to turn off banner and between-race ads.
Children
Trail Torque isn't directed at children under 13 and is intended for a general audience aged 13+. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we'll help delete it with our partners.
Data retention and deletion
Game progress stays on your device until you uninstall the game; uninstalling deletes it. Ad and purchase data is kept by Google and Apple under their own policies. Your purchase history stays with your Google or Apple account so purchases can be restored. Email us with any deletion request and we'll help, including passing it on to our partners where needed.
Security
Data sent to Google and Apple is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).
